Ben Stephens - Founder

Piri Piri Cricket Academy was founded by Ben Stephens in 2009 after recognising a demand for quality professional cricket coaching in his local area, Essex.

Ben is well placed to deliver extensive cricket training having journeyed through the Essex county junior set up himself. He then moved onto become a minor county cricket player, an overseas club pro in New Zealand, and currently a proud playing member of the MCC.

Ben's role as Executive Director at The R66T Academy enhances a budding relationship between the two academies. Piri Piri Cricket is an associated development Hub with The R66T Academy.

Our Coaches

We have a team of qualified ECB coaches with extensive coaching and playing experience in the UK and overseas. They all live and breathe cricket and have a burning passion for the game!

We have a variety of coaches specialising in multiple aspects of the game. We have coaches who are masters in batting, bowling and wicket keeping, alongside all rounders to ensure we have a suitable coach for everyone.

Our team have built great relationships with the local cricketing community and are very passionate about improving the success of the region's young Cricketers.
